In modified atmosphere packaging (MAP), you can choose which gases to include. Every gas has a specific function. For example, you may want to use more oxygen or more carbon dioxide, or less argon. The European Directive requires which gases are allowed and it defines their proportions. You may also use helium, nitrous oxide, or helium.

Your food is being preserved in MAP packaging. This type of packaging prevents food from spoiling because it protects food from chemical and biological agents. Chemicals and bacteria can spoil your food, so it’s important to slow them down. One way to do this is with MAP packaging.
